This has been an extensive treatment involving work by several specialists. Because this young patient is not yet grown, an implant cannot be placed.
The idea was to relocate two upper molars to the location of the front teeth (autotransplantation). Because the roots were already deformed (mature), root canal treatment had to be done before autotransplantation. Then the front teeth were removed and the molars moved by the oral surgeon. After about 5-6 weeks, the teeth were built up with composite in the same position as the root. An orthodontist then straightened the teeth. Afterwards, two veneers were fabricated and bonded to the molars so that they are now exactly the same shape and color as the original teeth.
The beautiful result for this patient is thanks to Teamwork.
