Deze intensieve cursus met een beperkt aantal deelnemers bestaat uit didactische en praktische onderdelen. Het doel van de cursus is om de relatie tussen restauratieve tandheelkunde, gezondheid van weke delen en manipulatie van weke delen te begrijpen.
Er zal een sterke nadruk liggen op perio-plastische chirurgische procedures, waaronder kroonverlenging en bindweefseltransplantaten, met hands-on oefeningen die specifiek gericht zijn op het ontwikkelen van vaardigheden in deze technieken.

Cursusbeschrijving

Intensief 2-daags programma met lezingen en hands-on programma om deelnemers een diepgaand inzicht te geven in perio-prosthodontische relaties, inclusief nuttige perioplastische procedures.
Oefeningen in de praktijk omvatten kroonverlenging, behoud van de kom, ridge augmentation met bindweefsel en een oefening in ovale pontische ontwikkeling.

Andere onderwerpen die in deze cursus aan bod komen:

biologische breedte en het belang ervan voor de restauratieve tandarts,
locatie van de marge, diasteemsluiting,
beheer van vlakke gingivale architectuur,
beheer van gedraaide tanden
en tot slot ovale pontics zullen uitgebreid worden besproken, met de nadruk op hoe je deze in jouw klinische praktijk kunt integreren.

Hoewel alle instrumenten aanwezig zijn, moet je wel een vergrootglas meenemen.

Tony

Tony Rotondo is a registered specialist in Prosthodontics, he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland in 1984 and a postgraduate residency in Prosthodontics in 1996 at the University of California, Los Angles (UCLA). He currently practices in Brisbane. Tony has specific interests in dental aesthetics, dental implants and ceramic materials. He has and continues to teach undergraduates and postgraduates at the University of Queensland. He has been a visiting lecturer to the postgraduate program in prosthodontics at the University of Sydney and a visiting lecturer to Griffith University, School of Dentistry in Southport. Tony is a fellow of the International College of Dentists and an associate fellow of the Academy of prosthodontics.

In the past Tony has been the president of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry (QLD Branch), secretary of ANZAP (Australian and New Zealand Academy of Prosthodontists), treasurer and founding member of AOS (Australasian Osseointegration Society, QLD branch), he is part of the DSD scientific board, a silver member with in the Style Italiano group and a member of many other professional associations. Tony is a product evaluator for dental companies and presents numerous continuing educational programs nationally and internationally.
